When is the next Lego Fortnite update?
What’s new in Fortnite?

Fortnite just added a bunch of new content as part of a tie-in with Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean. You can meet characters from the franchise walking around the map, try out the new Ship in a Bottle mythic item, and unlock Pirates-themed gear to add to your character.
Lego Fortnite launched late last year, and ever since, the survival/building game has been regularly updated with new content. We’ve seen vehicles added, as well as a steady stream of new Outfits and items to keep players ticking over.
In many ways, Lego Fortnite is considered a separate game from the base Fortnite battle royale experience. While it may live inside Fortnite’s launcher, it offers a very different experience that’s more akin to a survival-crafting game like Minecraft.
Players start out with nothing and must farm resources to gradually build up their Camp, unlocking new items and technology in the process. In our initial Lego Fortnite review, we praised the game’s devilishly more-ish progression loop, as well as its gorgeous open-world design.
Here’s when to expect the next Lego Fortnite update, as well as some info on what was added in the most recent patch. Expect this page to be updated regularly, given how often Epic Games continues to tweak the brick-based survival game.
When is the next Lego Fortnite update?

An update to Lego Fortnite adds fast travel on August 6, 2024 (full details here). The Battle Bus fast travel network can be used to get around the world in seconds. You’ll be able to construct Bus Stations using Rift Shards, or use the stations that can be found already built. As part of this update, the following is also being added:
- You can now change world settings in-world, apart from your mode (cozy, expert etc, and player elimination.
- Pressure Plate
- Trigger Plate
- Activated Balloon (Small)
- Activated Balloon (Large)
- Pirate Lifestyle Bundle
What was added in the last Lego Fortnite update?

A set of new modes launched on June 13, 2024. Thanks to a blog post, you can see exactly what was added. You can check out the key points below:
- Cosy Mode – Maybe you like combat, but want it to be a little easier so you can build, farm, AND feel mighty. That’s where the new Cozy mode comes in!
- Expert Mode – Do you have what it takes to face fiercer foes? Think you can up your game against regular enemies? And above all, are you willing to take on these challenges with the risk of permanent elimination?
