The electric screwdriver I use for DIY projects is 40 percent off right now
If you have small devices that are on the fritz — or in need of a slight modification — Hoto’s Electric Precision Screwdriver ADV is great for DIY projects. Its size and power make it well-suited for tinkering with phones, laptops, and handheld gaming consoles, with its pen-style grip, simple one-button operation, and a tidy magnetic case with 25 S2 steel bits. It’s not exactly ideal for putting together furniture, but it is handy for precision work, and it’s currently matching its all-time low of $29.99 ($20 off) at Amazon for Prime Big Deal Days.
This year, I’ve made it my mission to bring my old devices — including a 35mm film camera — back to life rather than letting them rot in a drawer, and Hoto’s mini electric screwdriver makes doing that so much easier. The driver features a one-button operation and offers just enough torque for small screws, while its magnetized case ensures bits hold onto those flighty fasteners. The 25-piece set spans everything from Phillips to Torx to Pentalobe bits, providing what you need to work on small electronics. Plus, they all fit neatly into a rugged case, which features helpful labels for every component.
If you’re not much of a DIYer, the electric screwdriver is also great for taking apart kids’ toys, which are always in need of new batteries (ask me how I know). Speaking of which, the 350mAh battery lasts roughly two hours and can be easily recharged via the USB-C port located on the rear.
Hoto also has a handful of other gear on sale right now, including a laser measuring tool, a cordless rotary tool, and a cordless spin scrubber. I’ve got my eye on the Hoto Air Pump Pocket, though, which has returned to its all-time low of $41.99 ($21 off) at Amazon and would be great to have for inflating tires and sports balls. Hoto’s version features a rotating nozzle, making it easier to find the right angle, and adjustable air pressure ranging from 3 to 150 PSI. It’s also about the size of a deck of cards, so you can easily throw it into a gear bag.
Last but not least, you can grab the more robust Hoto 3.6V Electric Screwdriver Kit for $36.99 ($23 off) at Amazon. If you’re tackling small- or medium-sized repairs or putting together furniture, this kit fits the bill. The driver features three torque settings, a rotational speed of 220RPM, and an LED light for illuminating workspaces. Like the other Hoto screwdriver kit above, this one comes with 25 S2 steel bits, a carrying case, and an extension bar for accessing hard-to-reach places.
