SteelSeries’ new Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox gets a limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 theme

SteelSeries has unveiled a fleet of Cyberpunk 2077-inspired gaming headsets as well as a lineup of themed accessories made for its Arctis Pro wired and wireless headsets. First up, though, is a headset that is actually brand-new to the company’s lineup. It’s the Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox, and it follows a similar design and feature set as last year’s excellent Arctis 1 Wireless.

The big difference with this Xbox-specific model is that the USB-C dongle can switch between wireless modes to support Microsoft’s wireless protocol in addition to working with PC, Switch, and other platforms. Since neither the Xbox One nor its current controller features a USB-C port, it connects to the console via an included USB-A to USB-C cable, which the dongle plugs into. Once the Xbox Series X and its controller launch, it will work with that console the same way.

For now, only the Johnny Silverhand Edition (the character whose likeness is that of Keanu Reeves) of the Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox will be available. It costs $110, and limited quantities are being sold through SteelSeries.com and Best Buy starting today. A plain, non-branded version of the headset will be available in the coming months.

The aforementioned non-Xbox version of the Arctis 1 Wireless that originally released last year is also getting a Cyberpunk 2077-themed makeover. The Netrunner Edition also costs $110 and is currently available through SteelSeries.com and GameStop. This model also ships with a USB-C dongle that makes wireless audio on the Nintendo Switch and mobile easier than most other alternatives, though it won’t work wire-free on Xbox One consoles. A non-branded version is already available and costs a similar price.

Finally, for those who own one of SteelSeries’ Arctis Pro (wired or wireless) headsets, the company has released accessory packs that you can buy to make your headset look like it’s from the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Each pack costs $35 and includes a ski goggle headband and two magnetic ear plates that you can easily install yourself. They’re available now through Steelseries.com.

Cyberpunk 2077 won’t release until September 2020 if plans haven’t been affected by the pandemic. Either way, you have plenty of time to deck out your gaming setup with themed gear ahead of its release.
