Samsung kicks off its Aussie Black Friday sales early with up to AU$4,000 off its premium 8K TVs
We’ve not even hit the official date for Black Friday in Australia, but it’s clear that this year retailers are jumping the gun extra early to beat the rush. Samsung is getting in on the early Black Friday deals action with a two-day flash sale that includes discounts on a selection of gaming monitors, soundbars and TVs.
As you’ll see in my continuously updated round up of the best Black Friday TV deals, there are already some great discounts to be had on a wide range of screens, but in terms of total savings, Samsung’s Black Friday TV deals steamroll them all with up to AU$4,000 off the QN800D 8K TV series.
Of course, native 8K content is still a scarcity, but this Samsung screen is such a talented upscaler that it makes it as future-proof as can be.
Both the 75-inch and 65-inch models are discounted, with prices plummeting to as low as AU$1,999. In fact, you could get one of each size and it would only set you back around AU$4,500. If you’ve got a multi-TV household in need of a (significant) TV upgrade, this is an ideal chance to make that a reality.
As we said in our Samsung QN800D review, the “picture quality is nothing short of impressive” as it’s able to deliver exceptional contrast and colours, along with impressive brightness. It’s not quite as bright as the company’s flagship 8K set (the QN900D, also released in 2024) but the sheer amount of detail it’s able to unearth in images more than makes up for it.
It’s also an excellent option for gamers, with all four of its HDMI inputs supporting the 2.1 standard and image output at 4K/165Hz and 8K/60Hz refresh rates. During our testing playing Battlefield, “the large desert landscapes took on a realistic look and the intricate details of the various weapons were more pronounced.”
With an extra AU$2,000 off the 75-inch model and AU$1,500 off the 65-inch when you use the code FLASH at the checkout, this is a fantastic opportunity to obtain a top-performing Samsung TV for a lot, lot, lot less. You’ll need to hurry though, as these deals end in just two days time at 11am AEDT on Wednesday, November 19.
