Strands is the NYT’s latest word game after the likes of Wordle, Spelling Bee and Connections – and it’s great fun. It can be difficult, though, so read on for my Strands hints.

Getting NOUN confirmed today’s theme and some – if not all – of the other words we were searching for.

VERB and ADJECTIVE were the next most obvious grammar words and after this I saw speech and when that didn’t turn blue spotted the entire spangram, which then exposed ARTICLE.
All that was left was CONJUNCTION, which I am certain was most people’s last find; kudos if it was your first.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-any-more word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a fully fledged member of the NYT’s games stable that has been running for a year and which can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
