Norton VPN expands global footprint with 25 new server locations and adds on-demand IP switching — here’s everything you need to know
- Norton VPN has added 25 new server locations, bringing its total to more than 130 locations across 90 countries.
- The update introduces a new Manual IP Rotation feature, allowing users to swap their virtual IP address on demand without dropping the connection.
- The new manual IP tools are available right now on Windows and Mac, with iOS and Android support coming soon.
Norton has announced a major upgrade to its VPN service that significantly expands its server network, as well as a new privacy tool that swaps IP addresses on the fly.
Norton VPN’s server network now includes over 130 locations across more than 90 countries. This includes 25 brand-new locations across the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East — perfect for users looking for a faster connection or looking to bypass geoblocking.
In addition to the bolstered server count, Norton has added Manual IP Rotation to help users navigate temporary blocks from streaming services and websites. This feature lets you instantly switch to a fresh virtual IP address on demand, without actually disconnecting your active VPN session.
More locations, more control
Until now, if a site blocked your VPN address, you usually had to disconnect, switch servers, and wait for the connection to come back. Norton’s new approach removes that friction entirely.
“VPN users today expect more than just a secure connection, they want flexibility that fits how they actually live online,” said Himmat Bains, Product Lead for Norton VPN, in a recent blog post.

“Broadening our IP Rotation capabilities is a direct response to that. Users can now choose between automatic IP Rotation, which refreshes their VPN IP every 30 seconds in the background, and our new Manual IP Rotation, which puts that same control in their hands on demand.”
If you rely on one of the best VPNs to unblock overseas Netflix libraries or catch up on sports while traveling, this on-demand IP switching could be a major upgrade. Generating a new IP instantly helps you sidestep platform restrictions smoothly while maintaining your encrypted connection.
The server expansion itself is another big win. The 25 new locations include spots like the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Monaco, Kenya, and the UAE, building on Norton’s previous addition of 55 new locations in 2025 and showing a clear commitment to growing its global footprint.
“With Norton VPN expansion to 130+ server locations in over 90 countries, users now have more locations to choose from, helping them stay connected to the online content and services they rely on, browse with added privacy, and access a more localized online experience, all backed by the trusted protection Norton VPN is built to deliver,” added Bains.
Who gets the upgrade?
If you are already subscribed to any Norton VPN plan, the good news is that the 130+ server locations are available across the board right now.
As for the highly anticipated Manual IP Rotation feature, it is currently live for users running Norton VPN for Windows and Mac.
If you primarily use your smartphone or tablet to stay secure on public Wi-Fi, you will have to wait just a little bit longer. Norton has confirmed that support for iOS and Android devices is currently “coming soon.”
