Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake’s stunning new trailer showcases our first look at stealth gameplay
Konami has revealed the first gameplay look for Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, and it looks great.
The Xbox Games Showcase 2024 is in full swing, and we’ve already received plenty of exciting announcements from some of Microsoft‘s biggest studios. Also unveiled during the broadcast was the first in-depth look at Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake – also known as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
The trailer showcased the protagonist Snake as he takes on a series of immersive stealth missions in this reimagining of the origin story of the iconic military operative. We also see Snake creeping along tall beams, subduing enemies, and even hiding in a swamp with an alligator headpiece.
According to the developer, players elect for a newly added, modern control style and also choose to play with a classic control style “that more closely recreates the feel of the original game.”
“The same gripping story and engrossing world, but with all new graphics and 3D audio that enhance the jungle atmosphere,” Konami said. “Get ready for the ultimate survival stealth action experience.”
Although we don’t have a release date just yet, we do that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake was first announced as part of Sony’s State of Play on May 24, 2023. At the time, it was rumored that the game would be aiming for a late 2024 launch, although it appears this won’t be the case.
It’s also confirmed that all the original voices from the 2004 Metal Gear Solid 3 will be used in the remake, and we head as much in the latest gameplay trailer.
