LG’s Aussie Black Friday sale slashes up to AU$3,800 off its superb OLED TVs when you bundle a soundbar
LG is undoubtedly the maker of some of the best OLED TVs, but that also means they generally fetch a pretty price. If you’ve had your eye on one of its 2025 models but have been holding off for a decent discount, the Korean electronics giant has just revealed its official Black Friday deals – and it includes some offers which are sure to pique the interest of any budding cinephile.
From today (November 20) until Wednesday, December 3, you can save up to AU$3,500 on an LG OLED TV when you bundle it with a compatible soundbar. Alternatively, if you don’t need the soundbar, you can still save up to AU$2,500 on top-rated OLED and QNED TVs for a limited time.
You can find the full selection of Black Friday discounts and bundle offers on LG’s Australian website, but I’ve picked out a few highlights below.
LG Australia is a TechRadar preferred partner (What does that mean?)
The greatest saving of AU$2,500 is available on both the 77-inch and 83-inch variants of the LG G5, while the 65-inch gets an initial AU$1,600 saving. Curiously, the 55-inch hasn’t been discounted.
The G5 is eligible for the AU$1,000 soundbar bundle discount we mentioned above, with compatible soundbar models being the LG S95TR and LG SG10TY.
My pick of those two is the S95TR, as it includes rear speakers to provide a more authentic Dolby Atmos surround experience at home. With both the 77-inch LG G5 and the S95TR Dolby Atmos soundbar added to the basket, the total is AU$5,897 – that’s a total saving of AU$3,801 when you factor in both items’ original list prices.
The LG C5 receives an initial discount of up to AU$2,138 in screen sizes of 55-inch up to 83-inch (the 77-inch gets the biggest overall discount), and it gets a couple of different soundbar options for bundling, compared to the G5.
Those soundbars include the LG SC9S and S80TR, both of which support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio codecs. It’s also worth noting that you only save AU$500 when adding a soundbar to a C5 model, compared to the AU$1,000 saving applied to the G series.
With the 65-inch C5 I’ve selected added to the basket, along with the slightly more expensive SC9S soundbar, the total package comes to AU$3,263.01. If bought separately and at full price, the same package would cost AU$5,396, giving you a total saving of AU$2,132.99.
The 86-inch variant I’ve selected gets the biggest initial discount of AU$1,510.99, while the already-affordable 55-inch size is knocked down by AU$616, to AU$1,183.
Soundbar options for this bundle – which will net you a AU$300 saving – include the same S80TR you can get with the C5 OLED, or the more cost-friendly S70TY. Assuming you’ll want the rear speakers of the S80TR, the total cost is AU$3,481.01, a combined saving of AU$2,113.99.
As mentioned, multiple size options are available for each TV series. You will need to add one of the pre-selected soundbars to the relevant TV series in order to get the bundle saving (you can’t, unfortunately, bundle the most affordable soundbar with the most expensive G5 OLED, for example).
Plus, if you’re a MyLG member – and you can join for free – you can receive a AU$50 voucher to put towards any purchase over AU$350.
