Eufy’s new robot vacuum will make your home smell like a spa, and it’s the cleaning appliance-fragrance plugin crossover I’ve been waiting for
Robot vacuums are getting ever more advanced and impressive. But a lot of models offer various combinations of the same features, which can make distinguishing between them tricky. So it’s always refreshing to see a robot vacuum with a genuinely unique feature.
Enter the Eufy Omni S2, with its fragrance capsule compartment. A robot that cleans my house and leaves it smelling like a spa? Dreamy.
Of all the many robot vacuums I saw at IFA 2025, this is the one I want to try most. And given that I had demoes of robot vacuums that can climb stairs, and one that can pick up a duster and clean your baseboards, that’s saying something.

I’ve tested most of the best robot vacuums on the market, and this is the only one I’m aware of that can have a scent capsule attached. There are three scent options, including eucalyptus and lemongrass. I had a sniff of each capsule and I liked them all – they were fresh and pleasant without being too synthetic or overpowering. I didn’t, however, get a chance to see (or smell) them docked into the S2 and on a cleaning journey, so I can’t speak to their effectiveness in practice.
The idea reminds me of Shark’s anti-odor capsule – a puck that sits in the floorhead or on the auto-empty docks of some Shark vacuums. Officially, this is designed to neutralize potential bad smells, rather than creating a scent of its own. However, the reviewers who have tested capsule-equipped vacuums for TechRadar have almost all been huge fans, and commented that the puck left their floors smelling fresh.
On Eufy’s bot, the scent is the point, and I for one am here for the more luxurious approach.

Further features
Of course, the Eufy Omni S2 is more than just a mobile scent dispenser – there’s plenty to recommend it as a cleaner, too. The bot packs an ultra-powerful 30,000Pa of suction (it’s apparently capable of sucking dirt from shag carpets with a pile height up to 5cm), and uses two rollers with a gap in the center, to prevent hair tangles.

On the mopping front, the S2 boasts an extra-wide roller mop that scrubs with 15N of downwards pressure and cleans itself as it goes. Mysteriously, it also uses electrolyzed water in its cleaning dock – I’m told this helps kill three common germs, but Eufy has failed to provide anything more specific than that.
The Eufy Omni S2 is scheduled to go on sale at the end of October in Europe, and in January 2026 (after a launch at CES) in the US. I only have pricing in euros: €1,599, which would be around $1,875 / £1,380 / AU$2,800.
