Bose just released the Quiet Comfort Ultra Earbuds Gen 2 – I think the Gen 1 is the better buy for all-time low price of AU$269
When a tech product gets a sequel, I think it’s great news for two key reasons. First, the company deems the original successful enough to warrant an upgrade. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, when the sequel launches, the original comes down in price. Case in point: the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (1st Gen) can now be yours for a smidge under AU$270 from the maker itself when you use our exclusive Bose coupon code.
Bose only has the black and midnight blue colours in stock at the time of writing, for AU$298.95 apiece. That’s already a lot lower than their original launch price of AU$449 in 2023, then the RRP dropped further to AU$399. Apply our exclusive 10% coupon code at checkout and that price goes down even lower to just AU$269.06, which I believe is the lowest I’ve ever seen – beating the previous best discount from EOFY 2025 by 94 cents.
As I’ve alluded to, these in-ear noise-cancelling headphones have now been succeeded by a new Gen 2 model, which are unsurprisingly excellent (you can find out more in our Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds Gen 2 review). The newer model costs a lot more though – I’ve found the White Smoke variant at Myer or Deep Plum at Amazon, both with 15% discounts – and the Gen 1 release is still a tremendous set of in-ears that will plunge you into a cocoon of total silence.
In our Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds review, our tester found the ANC performance to be class-leading (at the time, of course), and the Immersive Audio feature is genuinely impressive. They were missing multipoint connectivity at launch, but this was been fixed via firmware update. They do miss out on wireless charging unless you invest in a separate case, but they still rank among the best wireless earbuds in Australia.
If you prefer the in-ear form factor, you want tremendous ANC performance and you want to be able to get a pair without breaking the bank, this Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds deal is certainly one to consider.
