The play takes place in Hawkins, Indiana, in 1959 and follows a young Jim Hopper, Joyce Maldonado, and Bob Newby’s sister as they contend with the arrival of the new kid in town: Henry Creel. The production credits Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers as the original story and creative producers of the play, with Kate Trefry serving as the writer.

Tickets for Stranger Things: The First Shadow on Broadway go up for presale on September 13th, while general availability starts on September 17th.

Even if you don’t plan on making the trek to New York to see the Stranger Things play, at least you can watch the show’s fifth and final season from the comfort of your home when it premieres next year.
