Top tech conferences: The ultimate tech events guide for July 2023


For better or worse, conferences appear to be back, so to help you work out what events to head to in 2023, TechRadar Pro has curated a list of the most important international technology events and conferences coming this year.
July 17-20 | Las Vegas
Data firm Splunk has been running .conf for over a decade, and the event is attended by IT, security and DevOps professionals who swap tips with one another and listen to key figures from the company.
Why attend? Plenty of emphasis is placed on fun at .conf, so it shouldn’t be a drab affair. In addition to keynotes, there is also Splunk University, an optional extra that promises to teach you all you need to know about the company’s software.
August 5-10 | Las Vegas
For six days, Black Hat will offer cybersecurity courses, briefings, demos of open-source tools and social events. This year will also see the launch of a single-day certification program.
Why attend? If you’re an ethical hacker, offensive or defensive, of any skill level, then you find at least something to be gained from this packed week-long event.
September 26-27 | London
For two days, the movers and shakers in cybersecurity will discuss the future of our interconnected world, featuring CISO roundtables, informative sessions and demonstrations of the latest tech
Why attend? This is a free event, so you won’t have to pay a penny to gain insights on the latest cybersecurity challenges and mingle with business leaders, policymakers and government officials.
October 4-5 | Virtual
This online event, hosted by CI/CD Platform Bitrise, features 50 speakers who are leaders in the industry, and many sessions including workshops and panel discussions.
Why attend? If you want to learn all about mobile app development, then this is the conference for you, offering as it does first-hand experience with the latest tools and technologies in the field.
October 16-20 | Dubai
The Middle East’s largest show in the technology industry brings together thought-leaders, creators, innovators and makers to discuss, debate and challenge new ideology, showcase new products and identify future opportunities.
Why attend? Showcasing the bleeding-edge of technological innovation, from 6G to Metaverse businesses, the five-day programme will feature over 1400 expert speakers and over 5000 exhibitors, with 176 countries represented in total.
October 22-25 | Las Vegas
Money 20/20 brings together the world’s leaders in payments, banking and fintech, so shouldn’t be missed.
Why attend? From in-depth analytics sessions to keynotes from leading lights in the world of finance, this show has it all.
November 7-10 | Pennsylvania
Held in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, TechBash will feature world-class experts in the field of mobile, web, desktop and SaaS app development to inform and inspire developers of any level.
Why attend? Pitching itself as accessible to all attendees, this conference wants to inspire developers with its sessions and talks, and promises to feature some big name vendors who’ll bring along their latest innovations to show off.
November 13-16 | Lisbon
At Web Summit, the main question is always: where next? At a time of great uncertainty, this question has never been more important.
Why attend? This large-scale event attracts thousands of attendees and tens of high-profile speakers. Previous line-ups have included Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen, Apple’s Craig Federighi and Sir Tim Berners-Lee, creator of the internet.
