Aston Villa vs Arsenal stands out as one of the most stand-out fixtures in August on matchweek 2, with both sides gunning for the title this season.

You only need to wait until matchweek 4 (September 12) for the first big derby game of the new campaign, with Man United vs Man City at Old Trafford. The first Everton vs Liverpool Merseyside derby takes place during matchweek 12 (November 28), with Spurs vs Arsenal and Newcastle vs Sunderland on matchweek 14 (December 5).

Coventry City vs Chelsea looks like a Christmas treat, with Frank Lampard facing the club where he’s regarded as a legend. While Aston Villa vs Liverpool is another eye-catching fixture from the busy festive period.

Depending on how their new managers settle in, Man City vs Liverpool on matchweek 35 (May 8) late on in the season may have much resting on it. All three promoted teams have home matches to finish the season – will that be crucial to their chances of survival when Sunday, May 30 rolls around?
