I let ChatGPT and Gemini build my PC — here are the components each AI picked
When it comes to PC building, first-timers face a minefield of component compatibility, cable management, and in more recent years, rampant supply chain issues.
Presently, we’re in the midst of a RAM and CPU crisis, but before that, issues arose during the 2020-23 chip shortage. Navigating these on top of complex and jargon-laden product names and listings, and it’s an increasingly unwelcome environment for a newcomer.
In the latest season of AI Planned It (which you can watch in full below or on TechRadar’s YouTube channel), I asked ChatGPT and Gemini to go head-to-head with our very own in-house computing expert Matt Hanson in a battle to build the best PC for my needs, which you can read about in this companion article.
