March Madness has found its groove, and just in time for the Sweet 16 round. Florida have become the first No.1 seed to be eliminated, at the hands of No.9 Iowa, while No.11 Texas are still going strong as the sole double-digit seed still standing. The Longhorns, who had to play their way into the 64-team field by navigating the preliminary First Four stage, have set up a regional semi-final encounter with No.2 Purdue.
Through the first two rounds, there’s no question that No.1 Arizona have set themselves up as the team to beat. the Wildcats cruised to a 34-point win over LIU and a 12-point victory over Utah State. They’ll take on No.4 Arkansas and the Razorbacks’ standout guard Darius Acuff Jr. – who’s dropped 60 points so far – next for a place in the regional finals.
